Dating from 1882 and refurbished in 2012 this magnificent French Chateau is only around an hour’s drive southwest of Paris, making it extremely practical as a destination wedding venue if you have guests flying into the French capital.
Alexandra & Martins weekend began on Friday with outdoor cocktails and a welcome dinner, the Chateau forming a perfect backdrop. Saturday morning and the Chateau was a hive of activity with wedding preparations, a beautiful old Rolls Royce arriving around early afternoon to chauffeur the couple to the ceremony in the nearby Eglise de Saint Pierre & Saint Paul.
With the possibility of rain forecast for the afternoon, the reception took place inside the grand hall of the Chateau, a reception venue perfect for hosting the largest of celebrations in absolute style.
After dinner we were treated to a beautiful fireworks display above the Chateau Lake, after which the DJ pumped up the volume to ensure the dancefloor was rocking into the night.
