This is England
I've just returned from a wonderful wedding in England. I stayed over for a few days to have a break from the city, catch up with great friends, enjoy real ale and eat some good old fashioned English pub food.
I also had time to take lots of snapshots. I used to generally reach for my Lomo cameras (my Holga and Lubitel) for most of my personal work but I now seem to be shooting more with my phones camera. Don't get me wrong, I still love working with film but the fact that I always have my phone in my pocket just makes it so practical for snapshots.
Anyway, here's some images from the weekend. From England. From the North.
The view that greeted me every morning from my bed and breakfast.
The first of way too many local brewed beers.
Armathwaite Hall the location for the wedding.
The view from the stately home.
Cute little hearts on the dinner table. Filled with homemade shortbread.
Mr Dass and Mlle Martinet enjoying apres dinner drinks on the decking. Also SUNSHINE, in England, in the North!
Mr & Mrs Dass.
Some blue sky.
Spot the rainbow?
A morning walk up one of the fells.
The final push to the peak.
After hitting the peak the weather closed in rapidly so a hasty descent down onto the lakeside.
Back to base just in time to beat the wind and rain.
The final evening - view from the beer garden!
