Top 10 wedding & engagement photos of 2010
Another year coming to an end. Things have slowed a little. That's given me some time to devote to a personal project I'm working on. I've also taken a look back to reflect on some of the images from the past year.
I thought it would be nice to share a few of my favorites with you. I've attempted to pick out 10 photos. Not necessarily the best photographs, simply images that for me stand out for one reason or another. They're also in no particular order.
Whilst we're here reflecting on the year gone by I'd like to say a huge thanks to every single one of my clients. I've been lucky to meet and work with some truly wonderful people this past year. Thanks so much for choosing me as the photographer be it to take your portrait, capturing your engagement on the streets of Paris or covering your wedding. It was a pleasure.
Lets kick off with this image of Anna & Michael having a rather intimate moment in a quiet corner of a Parisian passage. It's a passage open to the public until after 9pm when it's private and closed.
I love this photo also because of what happens next. Out of the shadows came a rather abusive gentleman??? who seemed to take offense at kissing couples in Paris, as well as me and my camera. The whole episode actually gave us all a great laugh and of course I caught it all on camera. Click here for the 'after photo'. Warning - it's not pretty!
I climbed up into the pulpit to try and get a different point of view as Audrey entered the church with her father. Love the way he's making a final adjustment to his hat before proudly walking his daughter down the aisle.
A freak gust of wind on the quayside of the Seine had CheyAnne showing off a little more leg than intended. Doug seems to be enjoying the show.
Rocker, Grandpa, Bride.
We began this shoot in the Hemingway bar in the Ritz hotel. We ended up in this small bar behind the Palais Royale sampling the owners wine collection. It was a world away from the Ritz in every respect. Wonderful fun although Jennie was a little confused about the game of balancing a full glass on the back of the hand.
The prefect summer evening in Paris with a romantic stroll through the Tuileries.
Meredith looking absolutely stunning on her wedding day.
Love the silhouette capturing this kiss of Katie & Adam.
Maureen and Kevin relax in an ancient Saint Germain brasserie at the end of their intimate Parisian wedding.
Amazed! The wedding of Vicki and James in North East Yorkshire, England.
Mary was genuinely taken aback when Edward proposed in front of the Eiffel Tower.
That's the list for this year. Hope to see you in 2011.
