The French Alps.
Crisp mountain air, office views looking out to snow capped peaks and some killer biking and hiking trails straight out the door. The prefect antidote to hectic city life. When out exploring I always have my little 35mm film camera thrown in the backpack to capture the stunning scenery this part of France has to offer. Here are a handful of shots from a recent trip. Captured on Kodak Portra 160 with an Olympus OM2. Either a 28mm or 50mm Zuiko lens. I plan on heading back to a lot of these locations with my beastly Mamiya Universal 6x7 camera to create some images to hang on my walls.
This winter I'll be offering photoshoots in this area. Complete with a couple of nights in an old, beautifully renovated alpine house. Wood burning stove, south facing terrace overlooking the mountains. Hiking / snowshoeing on the doorstep and some of the finest skiing in the alps just a short drive away. Coming to Europe and fancy splitting a shoot between Paris and the French alps for a beautiful contrast in images - we can make that happen.
Finally if anyone is interested in spending a winter season skiing / snowboarding in the French alps I have a cosy, recently renovated studio beneath the main house. Its fully furnished, with wifi, it's own south facing, gated terrace, mountain views and access to a huge cellar for storage. Whilst not in an actual ski-resort it's ideally situated with several of the largest ski areas in the alps (Courchevel, Merrible, La Plagne) just a short drive away. Contact me here for more details.
