I'm Ian Holmes, a British photographer who has called France home since 2002. For almost two decades, I've photographed couples, families, and weddings across Paris and France, creating timeless images that feel natural, elegant, and unmistakably personal.
My approach is simple: keep the experience relaxed, guide you when you need it, and allow genuine moments to unfold naturally. Whether we're wandering through the streets of Paris at sunrise or exploring the countryside, I want your photography session to feel like one of the highlights of your trip—not something to get through.
Over the years, I've come to know Paris beyond its famous landmarks. The quiet streets, beautiful light and hidden corners all play a part in creating photographs that feel authentic rather than staged. It's this local knowledge, combined with a calm, unobtrusive approach, that my clients value most.
My work has been featured in publications including Grace Ormonde, Tatler, HELLO!, Style Me Pretty, Magnolia Rouge and Wedding Sparrow, but what matters most to me is how my clients feel when they look back at their photographs years from now.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me cycling in the mountains, exploring with my camera, or spending time with my Yorkshire Terrier, Charlie. Those quieter moments continue to inspire the way I photograph people—with patience, curiosity and an appreciation for the beauty in the everyday.

When not working I’m probably cycling
From weaving through Parisian traffic on my city bike to big days out on mountain bikes in the Alps, even crossing countries on multi-day tours. Cycling is by far my most preferred mode of transport.
I also have a love of cars and motorsport
Particularly vintage cars, and can often be found out and about, in my little sports car for a spirited drive over alpine passes…occasionally with Charlie the Yorkshire Terrier (small dog BIG personality) at the wheel.
